Program

Open Sessions
There will be 2 open sessions with no defined topic for those wishing to make a presentation at SFIWC. Please send your title, name, and affiliation to John Riggins (jriggins@entomology.msstate.edu). Time slots will be approximately 15 minutes, including questions. Titles due by Friday, June 12.
Poster Session
The poster session and reception will be held on Wednesday, July 22. The deadline for poster title submissions is Friday, June 12. Please send your title, authors, and affiliations to John Formby (jpf9@msstate.edu).
Posters should be no larger than 4′ x 4′. We will provide the poster boards. Posters can be set up starting July 21 (Tuesday) and will be displayed throughout the entire meeting.
Graduate Student Session
The Graduate Student Session will be held during the afternoon of Wednesday, July 22. Please see the above link for presentation submission details. Titles, authors, affiliations, and abstracts (350-word limit) should be sent to Matthew Ethington (mwething@uark.edu), Molly Darr (mdarr@vt.edu), and Robert Jetton (rmjetton@ncsu.edu) by Friday, June 12.
Photo Salon
Please contact Ron Billings (rbillings@tfs.tamu.edu) with any questions or pictures that you would like to submit to the 2015 SFIWC Photo Salon. This year, only digital submissions will be accepted, and they must be received by Thursday, July 16.
A.D. Hopkins Award and Roger F. Anderson Award
Nominations for the 2015 A.D. Hopkins Award, which recognizes outstanding record of service to Southern forest entomology, must be sent to Kier Klepzig (kklepzig@fs.fed.us) by Friday, June 19. The 2015 Roger F. Anderson Award will be presented to an outstanding graduate student in Southern forest entomology; send nominations to Fred Stephen (fstephen@uark.edu) by Friday, June 26. Southern Pine Beetle Working Group
Call for southern pine beetle presentations! If you would like to make a presentation on SPB-related research, management or technology development to the SPB Working Group, please contact John Nowak (jnowak@fs.fed.us). The SPB Working Group meeting is scheduled for 1:00 – 2:45P on Tuesday, July 21.
2015 SFIWC Food Drive
This year’s SFIWC food drive will benefit the Northwest Arkansas (NWA) Food Bank. Please check out their website, http://www.nwafoodbank.org, to learn about the valuable services they provide to communities in northwest Arkansas. As usual the Food Drive will accept cash, checks, or food and supply donations at the SFIWC registration table. The following are the items requested by the Food Bank: canned vegetables, canned meats, cereal, dried rice, dried beans, macaroni and cheese, boxed dinners, fruit cups, peanut butter, jam and jelly, and dry milk powder.
Frontalis Cup
The 2015 Frontalis Cup golf tournament will be played at Stonebridge Meadows Golf Club on Thursday, July 23, starting at 1:00 pm. A count of participants needs to be provided to the pro shop so they can schedule tee times. So, if you want to play, please reply to Fred Stephen (fstephen@uark.edu) right now so he can get a firm count and can establish the number of groups. Transportation will be provided. The green fees are $40/ per person, cart included. This is a public course, but it’s a nice layout, links style.
Frustrana Cup
The 2015 Frustrana Cup will be a washers tournament at the Green Submarine on Dickson Street (http://thegreensub.com/home.html). The event will start around 2:30 pm on Thursday, July 23, dependent on the finish of any field trips. So come on down for hot subs, cold beverages, and fresh, hand-tossed washers.
