Photo Salon: This year's Photo Salon will be like those of the recent past. There are 5 categories: Forest Insect; Forest Insect Damage; Series (3-7 slides) - where a single slide just won't tell the whole story; "Other" - for subjects that don't conveniently fall into any other category; and Humorous - the lighter moments of Forest Entomology.
Media may be 2x2 photographic slides or digital. If you submit digital photos please submit them in as large a format/file size and as uncompressed as you have available. We encourage you to follow the Forestry Images guidelines www.forestryimages.org/contribute.cfm for information about image format, size, etc. You may submit your images to Tim Haley in the US mail (USDA-FS-Forest Health Protection, 2500 Shreveport Hwy, Pineville, LA 71360-2009) or by e-mail thaley@fs.fed.us. Unless photographers specify otherwise, the winning images will be added to Forestry Images, www.forestryimages.org. Submission of slides are welcome, but if possible it would be preferred that they be sent early to Tim so that they could be scanned before the meeting. Click here for Image Submission form. If you need more information or require enthusiastic support for submitting your images, please don't hesitate to contact Tim. Keep those images coming!
