Attractions: Tampa has whatever you want. To quote the Tampa Bay Convention and Visitors Bureau, "... a single day's itinerary might include breakfast at a waterside cafe, Busch Gardens, The Florida Aquarium, a streetcar ride to Channelside for shopping, and a Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Devil Rays, or Lightning game. Then on to historic Ybor City where the Cuban sandwiches are hot and crisp, the cigars are hand-rolled, and the colorful streets are lined with fun. What next? White, sugar-sand beaches, sport fishing, jet skiing, parasailing, boating... and, oh yes, the most succulent seafood under the sun." Check it out at http://www.visittampabay.com.

Baseball: If you would like to attend a major league game, the Devil Rays are hosting the Boston Red Sox on Wednesday evening. Read the accompanying PDF file for information on purchasing tickets.

Program: See the accompanying preliminary program for information on the plenary sessions and concurrent workshops. Contact Lynne Rieske-Kinney lrieske@uky.edu if you would like to add a workshop for another topic.

Posters: A poster session is scheduled for Tuesday. Contact Brian Heath brian.heath@ncmail.net to register your poster and get information on available space and restrictions.

Tuesday Banquet: Our annual banquet will be held Tuesday evening at the world-famous Columbia Restaurant http://www.columbiarestaurant.com. The main course will be Pollo Salteado. Vegetarian and child options are available.

Golf: The FRONTALIS CUP golf tournament will be held Wednesday afternoon. We will e-mail specific information as soon as a course has been chosen.

Photo Salon: This year's Photo Salon will be very much like those of the recent past. There are 5 categories: Forest Insect; Forest Insect Damage; Series (3-7 slides) - where a single slide just won't tell the whole story; "Other " - for subjects that don't conveniently fall into any other category; and Humorous - the lighter moments of Forest Entomology.

Media may be 2X2" photographic slides or digital in a format compatible with Microsoft PowerPoint. You may submit your images to Tim Haley in the US mail, by e-mail, or personally at the very beginning of the meeting. If you submit digital photos please submit them in as large a format/file size and as uncompressed as you have available. Unless photographers specify otherwise, the winning images will be added to Forestry Images, www.forestryimages.org. If you need more information or require enthusiastic support for submitting your images please don't hesitate to contact Tim thaley@fs.fed.us. Keep those images coming!
